Scarlet Tree Records

Scarlet Tree Records is an independent, woman-led label providing a home for chamber jazz thriving in transition zone between classical chamber music and jazz improvisation. Founded by cellist and composer Jody Redhage Ferber, Scarlet Tree Records is a natural extension of other experiences and relationships developed over the past 20 years as an adventurous collaborator on outside-the-box creative musical projects.

For Your GRAMMY ® Consideration

Created by twin brothers Alan and Mark Ferber and myself, Confluence is a personal, genre-blending project that brings together jazz and classical chamber traditions — with J.S. Bach as a central inspiration. Born during lockdown and crafted through years of musical connection and family collaboration, the album reimagines Bach’s C major Cello Suite with improvisation, modern rhythms, and deep interplay; interspersed with complementary chamber jazz material.

We have submitted the following for consideration:

  • Best Alternative Jazz Album: Confluence (Jody Redhage Ferber, Alan Ferber, Mark Ferber)

  • Best Jazz Performance: Magnolia (performed by Jody Redhage Ferber, Alan Ferber, Mark Ferber, Adam Maness, and Matt Sewell)

  • Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella: Contemplation (arranged by Alan Ferber & Gino Sitson)

  • Best Instrumental Composition: Paris (composed by Alan Ferber)

Thank you for your consideration!
